At least they still offer a manual. Also, base 370z is now under 30k which is pretty damn fantastic when you just look at performance to dollar ratios.

The funny things no one ever thought anyone would say:

Hyundai still has the 3.8r with 20 hp more and still costs less... Oh, and it has something like a back seat for those of us that need one.

Conversation with my friend went as follows.

Me: you should learn to drive manual

Friend: my mom won't let me

Me: why not?

Friend: she says it's too much of a distraction.

*Epic Facepalm*

yeah not a huge genesis fan, but if you just look at the basics, it's a very compelling package.

The 350Z is still way cheaper and about on par...and much faster if you put all that 30 k into it, lol

Yes..because falling asleep from boredom due to driving a automatic isn't a distraction at all :D

EXACTLY. It makes you actually pay attention to driving! How much easier is it to insure your kid won't text and drive?

Indeed, and also indeed, lol, get him a nice ass car and he won't want to eat in it either, so no eating while driving ;) I honestly used to get to the limit of falling asleep when I had a automatic, manual doesn't do that to me

manual is like the old school rogaine- kids nowadays don't need one, old men from a bygone era still need it.

I'd consider myself a kid, and I need a manual, lol, and it's funny how now all the smell good stuff is aimed at teens. Old Spice, used to be for men now for teens..don't get why that commercial would sell anytthhinnggg, who wants to smell like a teen????

lol well I respect that you and lots of people love/need manual. I need auto though, after driving a while it can get tiring on your legs. Do you find the same?

after like 3 hours of driving maybe, but otherwise not really, but like I mentioned above, I'd consider myself a kid , which is to say I'm young, and I'm pretty fit as well :) I'm sure that soon I'll have issues with a specific manual making my legs tired though, about to start full time and will be driving a large manual truck all day..and walking carrying heavy things while I'm not driving it, lol

You'll be allright. I know it. Try leg stretches, I think the thing that hurts most is the lack of blood going to your legs. If you drive for a long distances in a truck, it would almost be like driving an auto, you can stretch your left leg a little at least if the cabin space permits.

Congratulations on the full time position! and use a trolley (lol)

I'll definatly be stretching, from helping out with the job before, I know full well that If I don't my bad knee will start hurting after a few weeks just from the walking itself, so will definatly be stretching and working out my knee, lol. And yeah, it's mostly short distances (delivery driver). We should be getting all auto's soon hopefully, but since Ill be on the bottom as far as seniority, I'll get one of the old manuals, lol.
